What experience do I need to own a swim school franchise with SafeSplash Swim School?

The SafeSplash Swim School franchise owner shares our philosophy and is passionate about helping families find quality swim instruction. We seek financially qualified candidates inspired by our mission who want to support children and adults as they become confident swimmers while developing lifelong water safety skills.

Franchise owners and their managers will spend 10 days (in two separate training segments) at our flagship location in Denver, CO for comprehensive training on the SafeSplash Swim School business model, both in the classroom and on the job. When it’s time for your Grand Opening, our SafeSplash franchise team will travel to your location for 3-5 days, to make sure you are calm, confident, and excited when you open your doors. Owners will have access to the SafeSplash Swim School Confidential Operations Manual for daily operations. Our team is available to assist you when you need us. We are always just a call or click away.

The estimated initial investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $58,500

to $84,250 for our Hosted/Rental model, inclusive of a $37,500 initial franchise fee. The initial investment necessary for our Dedicated/Build model ranges from $590,460  to $1,659,110, inclusive of a $55,000 initial franchise fee. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.

We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case-by-case basis.

We collect a royalty fee equal to 6% of gross revenues for both hosted and dedicated locations. Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of programs, marketing tools, training programs, recipes, and systems upgrades. For a full list of fees and requirements, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

Franchise owners will be required to spend a minimum of 2% of annual gross revenues on local marketing, and $5,000 on their Grand Opening for a hosted location/$25,000 for a dedicated location. You will also contribute 2% of gross revenues to the brand marketing fund, bringing the total franchisee brand contribution to 8% of gross revenues. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the SafeSplash Swim School brand and cover the creative costs to develop branded marketing materials and campaigns.

The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years each.
